Alicja Siemiginowska

Alicja Siemiginowska, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 13th, 2024,

after a year-long battle with cancer.

She was born in Jelenia Góra, Poland to Roman and Krystyna Gajewski. At 23 years old, she

left Poland and came to America.

Alicja was a pin seamer at Albany International Company for nearly 20 years, but she is most

well known in the Capital Region for the love and dedication she showed through every meal

she made as the owner and head chef at Muza Restaurant in Troy, NY. She worked alongside

her family, winning numerous awards and the hearts of anyone lucky enough to encounter her.

She enjoyed going on trips with her loving husband of 43 years to Lake George - enjoying

meals at The Sagamore and often reminiscing about the summers spent on the lake when their

children were young. Alicja could often be found on car rides with her dogs, Scottie and Sanka,

or enjoying her passion of buying gifts for her children and grandchildren. She also loved

gardening and was gifted with an exceptional green thumb.

Alicja’s presence was instantly recognized when she entered the room with her ear-to-ear smile

and laughter. Her exuberant personality brightened any mood, and she was loved by all who

knew her. Her positive spirit will forever be in our hearts.

Survivors include her husband, Jan Siemiginowski; two children, Adam (Anne) Siemiginowski

and Agata (Seth) Roberts; four grandchildren whom she spoiled daily (Lenna - 3 y., Adela - 2 y.,

Colsen - 6 m., and a new granddaughter due in February), mother-in-law Genowefa

Lukaszewicz, siblings Jacek (Miroslawa) Gajewski and Elżbieta (Andrzej) Mamak and nieces

and nephews. She is predeceased by her father and mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Alicja Siemiginowska may be given to the Mohawk

Hudson Humane Society.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Wm.

Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy, N.Y, with prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
