Ann has always demonstrated a deep love of children. When
Ann was in high school, she would spend her Saturdays
volunteering at St. Coleman’s Children’s Home. Throughout
her life, she continued to welcome disadvantaged children
into her home as a foster parent to many and finally adopting
three-year old Allen (Corky). When the children were
raised, Ann pursued a degree in Early Childhood education
at Hudson Valley Community College. After graduation Ann
opened St. Timothy’s Preschool and Day Care Center where
she spent decades as Director/Teacher working with
preschoolers. She also loved music and shared her piano
talents by giving piano lessons to young children. Her giving
spirit extended to rescuing animals, especially cats, as well.
Among many other things, Ann especially enjoyed family
gatherings, cooking, and reading. Ann was a model of
kindness throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family
would appreciate a donation to the Hudson-Mohawk
Humane Society at 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
