Barbara B. (Burke) Terry

Barbara B. (Missie) Terry, 73, of Troy entered into eternal life at St. Peter’s Hospital on
September 17, 2024, after a brief but severe illness.
She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter, Jill Charette, her three
grandsons: Kevin, Declan, and Griffin Charette, her brother Martin (Butch) Burke (Pam), her
longtime companion, Joe Coli, and many relatives and friends from all walks of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents Martin (Buddy) and Shirley Burke, and her husband,
Kevin Terry.
Barbara was an active and social person who cherished spending time with her family and
friends, especially her grandsons, who all had their own special bond with her. She took great
pride in watching them on the soccer field, even though she never really understood the game.
She was an avid sports fan, who rooted passionately for the NY Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys,
and the Alabama Crimson Tide and you always knew it if one of her teams was losing. She also
enjoyed golfing, a good cup of strong coffee, taking in the atmosphere at the Saratoga Race
Course, spending her winters soaking up the sun in Florida, taking trips to Disney to eat and
drink around the world in EPCOT, indulge in a Ghirardelli sundae, and ride the Tower of Terror,
shopping for a good bargain, and making new friends wherever she went.
Relatives and friends of Barbara are welcome to spend time with her family on Wednesday
September 25, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 Third St. Troy, NY
12180. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Barbara’s request.
