Berna Lee (Williams) Allen

Berna Lee Allen, 79, of Troy, beloved companion of Milton Grugan, entered peacefully into eternal life on Saturday May 27, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Alexander “Richard” Williams and the late Lenna May Reynolds Williams and step daughter of the late Eva Williams.

Berna lived in Tulsa Oklahoma for several years where she was active in the Baptist Church.

She returned to Troy in 1997 to be with family and moved into the Kennedy Towers, where she was known for her helpfullness for other people in the building by doing their grocery shopping or errands when she was able to drive.

Berna was pre deceased by her husband Milton Allen, her brothers, Milford Williams Sr. and Harwood Williams.

She is survived by her children; Joseph (Laura) Leathem, Brian Leathem, Kellie (Brian) Reynolds, Brian (Sara) Spears, and Mary Jo Allen. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday June 7, 2023 from 10 – 12 noon at the Wm. Leahy Funeral home, services will begin at noon with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating, Inurnment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery Menands.
