Carol Pasinella Obituary

Carol Moran Pasinella, 81, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on May 5, 2026, at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 24, 1945, Carol was the only child of the late Teddy J. Moran and Betty Huntington Moran. In a touching coincidence, Carol passed away on her mother’s birthday, a reunion surely filled with love.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Dominic J. Pasinella Sr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, Carol and Dominic created a home overflowing with love, laughter, traditions, and unwavering support for their family. Their greatest joy was raising their children and building a family rooted in closeness, loyalty, and unconditional love.

A graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Carol went on to retire from Verizon after many years of dedicated service. She was also a faithful communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

Carol found happiness in life’s simple but meaningful moments — shopping trips, holidays surrounded by family, and celebrating every special occasion together. She was famous among those who loved her for making the very best strawberry shortcake and iceboxed cake, desserts that became treasured family traditions. Carol always carried herself with grace and style. Head to toe, she always matched her beautiful outfits with her accessories and her famous glasses. She was never without her hair and nails perfectly done, lovingly cared for by her dear friend and hairdresser, Robin.

Above all else, Carol’s greatest love was her family. She adored being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and nothing brought her more joy than having her loved ones together. Her warmth, kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit touched everyone who knew her, and the memories she created will be cherished forever.

Carol is survived by her loving children, Dominic J. Pasinella Jr. (Marjorie) of Melrose, Stephen E. Pasinella (Michele) of Lansingburgh, Kristen E. Pasinella of Mechanicville, and Jeffrey A. Pasinella (Michele) of Lansingburgh.

She was the proud and devoted “Ninnie” to Tyler (Amanda), Samantha, Halee, Gabriele, Kyly (Christopher), and Adriana, and treasured every moment spent with her great-grandchildren, Max and Lennon. Carol was the dear sister-in-law of Tina Pasinella, Caroline (Richard) Driscoll, both of Troy, Anna Rose (Anthony) Gross of North Greenbush, and Beverly Pasinella (pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony) of Troy she was pre deceased by her brother in law Joseph Pasinella  She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many cherished friends whose lives were brighter because of her love and friendship, especially the Clarkson, Fox, Montanino, and O’Connell families, Billie Marie Proper, Mary Maselli, and Angelo Bruno.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Samaritan Hospital for their compassion, kindness, and comfort they gave to Carol and her family during her final days. Their care will never be forgotten. A special heartfelt thank you to Chelsea, Caitlin, Theresa, Danielle, David, MaryAnn, Carson, Patrick, Nicole, Tina, and Natalia. Also, a special thank you to Jenna Horton, NP, Dr. Robert Benton, and Nancy Sullivan from NYOH, for all the years they cared for her.

The beloved Ninnie and Poppy are finally reunited in Heaven, together for eternal life.
