Carole J. (Adkison) DeGiorgio has entered her final resting place surrounded by her loving family, the morning of November 2nd, 2022.
Born in Troy, Carole was the daughter of the late George and Lucille (Woodes) Adkison, and the sister of the late Edward and William Adkison.
Born on a June day in 1942, she resided in Troy her entire life, marrying her high school sweetheart, Joseph A. DeGiorgio Sr., in 1962.
Together they owned the enormously successful restaurant, The Trojan Tap Room, for many years until it’s closure in 2003.
She was a passionate fan of country music, dancing ,old westerns, WWII and John Wayne movies. After restaurant life, she was most passionate about her greatest joy, spending time with her five grandchildren.
Carole was also a member of the Troy Columbiettes and a communicant of Saint Anthony’s church, where she was married .
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, who was her dedicated caregiver at all times. Also survived by three children, Joseph Jr. (Suzanne), Rose Marie Comeau (John Benson), and Gina Ann (Robert) St. Dennis, her five grandchildren: Gabrielle, Christopher, Joseph, Matthew, and Nicholas, along with a large group of nieces, cousins, and extended family.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 – 7 pm at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 3rd St. Troy. Funeral procession will begin at 9 am on Tuesday from the funeral home to St. Anthony of Padua Church where at 9:30 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
