David Smith

David Smith, 82, of Troy passed into eternal rest suddenly on July 18, 2023 at his residence in Troy. Born in Troy N.Y., he was the son  of the late Anna Smith (Juszczuk) and Nicholas Smith. Also the father of his late son David Smith Jr.

David is survived by his brothers, Nicholas ( Nikki ) Smith Jr. of Colonie, Myron Smith and Matthew ( Lisa ) Smith all of Troy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

David lived the simple life. You would never catch him wearing anything other than his 20 white button up shirts and khakis. He enjoyed taking care of his plants while listening to the radio, and roaming the aisles at Walmart for hours. He was a very introverted guy, but he loved to crack a joke and put a smile on your face whenever he could. He also never forgot anyone’s birthday.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.
