Edward Washock 85 of Troy passed into eternal rest on January 2, 2025 .Born on February 28,1939 Ed was born and raised in South troy. Son of the late Julia Hennessy and Sigmund Washock .Husband of the late Dorothy Bushwinger Washock .Ed graduated from LaSalle Institute and served in the US Navy Seabees. He retired from the US Post Office as a letter carrier.
Ed loved to spend time with his family and his lunch LaSalle Lunch Pals at the Red Front. Ed also enjoyed going to the casino. He was a life long member of the polish American Club in South Troy. ,also a member of the Poestenkill Seniors. He was pre- deceased by his brothers Jack, Bob, Don and Jim. Ed is survived by several nieces and nephews
The funeral serice for Ed will be held on Monday afternoon at 1 PM at The Wm. Leahy Funeral home 336 Third St. Try with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM until 1 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Troy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ed's memory to St. Anthony of Padua Church 28 State Stret Troy NY.
