Eileen (Masher) Killeen

Eileen Masher Killeen, 87 of Troy, passed away peacefully on March

29, 2023. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret

Masher. She was a graduate of St Mary’s of Troy and Catholic Central

High School.

Eileen met the love of her life, Jim Killeen, in 1948. They were married

3 years later and spent 72 wonderful years united together as the most

loving couple.

Eileen held various jobs beginning in her youth as a waitress at

Manory’s. She then worked for Wells and Cloverleys of Troy and held

various positions with New York State. Eileen also volunteered in

various capacities at Sacred Heart School over many years. But the

most important job, and the one she loved the most, was being a wife

to Jim, a mother to her children Anne and Ed, and latter in life, a loving

Nana to her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be

remembered as kind, considerate, and one of the most caring people

you’ll meet.

Eileen was the beloved wife of 72 years to Jim Killeen. The loving

mother of Anne (Frank) Matthews and Ed (Kathy Mazur) Killeen. Nana

to Ryan (Alyssa) Matthews, Jaimie (Dave) Francis, Katelynn Eileen

(Rebekah) Killeen-Barton, and James Killeen. Great Nana to Emerson

and Elliot Matthews and Emilia and Matthew Francis. Eileen is also

survived by her loving younger sister Ann Graber. Eileen was

predeceased by her father Edward Masher, her mother Margaret

Masher, siblings Charles Masher, Marge Halligan, and Sandy Masher.

The funeral service for Eileen will be held on Wednesday morning at

9:45 am at the Wm Leahy Funeral home (336 Third Street, Troy) and at

10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church (276 Spring Ave, Troy) where a mass

of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev John Yanas, pastor

officiating. Relative and Friends are invited to attend and make call at

the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Interment will follow the mass

at The Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd,

Schuylerville NY). Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
