Elise Ann Mamone

Elise Ann Mamone, age 62, of Troy, passed away on August 21st, 2024. Born on April 6th, 1962 in Schenectady, Elise Ann was the beloved daughter to Charles and Barbara Mamone.

Elise Ann graduated from Catholic Central High School (Class of 1980), attended Mount St. Mary for her Undergrad (Class of 1984) and earned her Masters Degree from Sage Graduate School (Class of 1998). She retired last summer from a devoted career teaching in the Lansingburgh Central School District at Rensselaer Park. She was known for her infectious smile, her overwhelming positivity and ability to light up any room. Elise Ann was truly a special person, who found the good in everything.

She is survived by her family including her parents Barbara and Charlie Mamone, her siblings Koni Valenti and Chuck Mamone, her brother and sister-in-law Gary Valenti and Valerie Mamone, and her nieces and nephews Gary Michael, Emily, Nicholas, Alicia, Connor, Gianna, Juliana, Gennaro and Ava.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 26th at St. Anthony’s Church in Troy. Friends, family and the community are invited to attend to celebrate her life. The wake will begin at 9am followed immediately by the funeral mass at 11am. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York (Latham).

Elise Ann will be forever remembered for her ability to always find the joy in anything that life threw at her. To say she will be greatly missed is an understatement. She will live in her family and friends’ hearts, always.
