Elizabeth A. (Whaley) Dennin

Elizabeth A. Dennin, 85, of Troy entered into eternal life on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John and Nora Zayhowski Whaley. For 54 years, she was

the beloved wife of the late Richard M. Dennin Sr.

Mrs. Dennin was a graduate of Catholic Central High School Class of 1955. She was employed with

Metropolitan Life in Troy before taking time off to raise a family. When she reentered the workforce,

she held several jobs and ended her career with the Unity Sunshine Program in South Troy where she

enjoyed every day as a Teacher Assistant working with preschool children.

Elizabeth was a proud wife, mother and grandmother and she was most happy spending time with her

family. She especially enjoyed traveling to visit family in Lake George, the New Jersey Shore, Rochester

and San Francisco. Her favorite activities included cooking, shopping, watching movies and playing board

games.

Survivors include her children; Kelly A. Dennin, MD. of Loudonville, NY, Richard M. Dennin Jr. of

Hoboken, NJ., Kathleen J. Dennin of Diamond Point, NY and her grandson Jude of Loudonville. She is also

survived by her brother John J. Whaley Jr. of Rochester, NY, her sister-in-law Kay Connors of Watervliet,

NY and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited and may join together on Saturday, October 8 from 8:30 to 10 am at the

Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd St. Troy, funeral services will follow at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church,

Troy with Fr. Joseph Sheehan officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Troy.
