George A. Shaheen Jr.

George A. Shaheen Jr., 79, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Monday September 16, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester, England son of the late George A. Shaheen Sr. and the beloved husband of the late Susan Payne Shaheen.

George was employed with Ford Motor Co. in Green Island until his retirement in 1989. He was a lifelong member of the U.A.W. and the N.R.A. George was also a longtime member of the Troy and Green Island Senior Centers.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Stephanie Robinson and grandchildren Justin Robinson (Ashley Bouchey) and Melissa Robinson and his great granddaughter Ava Robinson. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He is also survived by his paternal cousin Michael Shahen.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 9 – 10 am in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home Troy, Funeral services will begin at 10 am with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
