Gino LaPietra 67 of Troy passed into eternal rest on Tuesday Evening surrounded by his loving family. Gino was born in Troy and was the son of Concetta Cocozza LaPietra and the late Gennaro LaPietra. He attended Lasalle Institute and Troy High School and Horizon where he took part is several programs .Gino had been employed by the Brinks Company ,Price Chopper and Menands Workshop .Gino spent 30 years at The Burns Apartments in Troy he enjoyed traveling to Italy on cruise ships , dining out and watching wrestling. His favorite thing to do was to be with his mother on Sundays and enjoy her home made sauce. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Joanne ( Riccardo ) Tavani and his brother Tony ( Patricia ) LaPietra and his nieces and nephews Michael Tavani, Anthony LaPietra ,Alyssa LaPietra , Kaila ( Mike ) Garufi and Sarah Holland. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins in Italy and his best friends Addy and Felton
The funeral service for Gino will be held on Monday afternoon at 12 noon at St Anthony of Padua Church State St in Troy with Rev Richard Donovan Pastor officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the Church on Monday from 10 AM until 12 noon .Entombment St Mary's Mausoleum .
