Gloria (Malek) Pappas

Gloria D. Pappas 83 of Florida formerly of Troy ,passed into eternal rest
on Sunday October 20, 2024 in Florida. Gloria was born in Troy and
was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Melynk Malek and
wife of the late Leo L. Pappas who passed away in 2003. Gloria was a
graduate of Troy High School, HVCC and Mildred Elley School .She
worked for The Ford Motor Co. in Green Island for 8 years RPI in Troy in
the undergraduate admissions office for 16 years and more recently for
The Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne Florida as the
enrollment manager for 12years.
Gloria is survived by her son David J. Pearson and his wife Holly
Kruchinski and her daughter Deborah M. Brown . She is also survived
by her partner Forrest ( Woody ) Juedes. She was pre-deceased by her
sister Dolores M. Malandro ( husband Joseph ) and her sister- in law the
late Theresa Lazzaro and her brother-in-law the late John Pappas (
Eleanor )
The funeral service for Gloria will be held on Tuesday morning at 8:45
AM at The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 Third St. Troy and at 9:30 AM
at St. Anthony’s Church State Street in Troy where a mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated by Fr. . Richard Donovan OFM Pastor Relatives
and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home
Monday from 3- 6 PM
Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery Troy
