James J. Mosher, 88, of Troy, NY entered into eternal life on Tuesday February 24, 2026.
Born in Troy, Jim was the son of the late Martin F. Mosher and the late Dorothy J. Rotherham Stewart, and beloved husband of the late Mary R. (Francese) Mosher.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Martin F., George G., and John J. Mosher, and Mary Lou Carney.
Jim is survived by his children Donna Kiley (Doug Nielsen), Mary J. Simmons (Daniel Davidson) and Martin Mosher (Kathy Button-Mosher); his sisters Jane McCormack, Kay Passineau, and Karen Zullo, his grandchildren William Kiley (Ashley) and Brian Kiley (Gabriella), Seth Button-Mosher (Madison) and Lancy Perras (Richard); grandchildren Kennedy Claire Kiley, and Alexis, Attlee and Audrey Perras. Jim is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Troy, Jim proudly served our country with the U.S. Navy. He was employed with Trojan Hardware of Troy and E.B. Piping of Waterford as a plumber and pipefitter. He was a member of the American Legion of Wynantskill, the Elks of Troy, the Veterans of Lansingburgh, the All Troy Athletic Club, the Eagles Club of Lansingburgh, and Local 7 Plumbers and Steamfitters of Albany.
Friends and relatives will be informed of a Catholic Mass and memorial service in the coming months.
