James Edward Plunkett 89 of Albany New York, left us early
April 1, 2023 with his love Rosemary Vanderwarker by his side.
James was a longtime employee of the United Postal Service
where he worked as an electrician. James served our country in
the United States Army. He had a strong love for golf, classical
music, opera and spending time at his second home in
Willsboro Bay New York. James was born December 3, 1933 in
Troy New York son of the late George and Mary Peer Plunkett
Sr.
Survived by his son Dennis Plunkett and his siblings Robert (
Terri ) Plunkett, Patricia Plunkett and Margaret ( Jack) McNulty
and was predeceased by Theresa Jewett, Agnes, George Jr.,
John, Charles, Joseph, William, Thomas and Elizabeth Plunkett
The funeral service for James will be held on Wednesday
morning at 10:00 AM at The Wm. Leahy Funeral home 336
Third St. Troy and at 10:30 at St. Joseph’s Church Third St. in
Troy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the
funeral home Wednesday morning from 8:30 AM until 10:30
AM.
