Givonnina (Jean) Turriglio Cavallo 90, of Troy, NY entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2022

surrounded by her loving family in her home that she resided all 90 years of her life. Born to Italian

Immigrates’ Vincenzo James Turriglio and Nicolina Taddeo on July 8 1932. For 58 years, she was the

beloved wife of the late Joseph (Chico) Cavallo. Jean was the youngest child and is predecease by 3

brothers, Rocky, Frank and Sam Turriglio and 3 sisters Mary Scarfo, Philomena Mazzariello and Betty

DeBonis. Jean was employed by Unity House of Troy as the Executive Secretary retiring at the age of 81.

Jean was an active member of her community serving as Trustee of the former St. Mary Church, PTA

President, CYO person of the year and volunteering her time to many charitable events. Jean was a

loving and giving person, a proud wife, mother and grandmother. More then anything she loved

spending time with her family. Cooking Sunday dinner, holiday gatherings, playing the slot machine,

Hallmark movies and watching the NY Yankees. Jean is survived by 3 sons, Joseph (Maria), Anthony

(Debbie) and Nicholas (Becky) Cavallo, and a daughter Susan Cavallo Butler. 9 Grandchildren, Anthony

(Lindsay) Cavallo of Virginia, Kristina Butler, Steffany (Jason) Freeman of Nashville, Jennifer (Edmar)

Santos, Gina (Scott) McMillan, of Connecticut, Joey (LC )Cavallo, Michael Butler, Lauren Cavallo and Nikki

(Gio) Santiago. 16 Great Grandchildren, Aiden, Gianna, Rylee, Jackson, Jaelah, Olivia, Anthony, Nico,

Kathleen, Lorenzo, Gabriel, Emma, Vincent, Alexa, Jordan, and Zadie. Jean is also survived by her sister in

law Barbara Turriglio of Marietta, GA. and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited

and may join together on Thursday, October 13, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at the Bocketti Funeral

Home, 336 3 rd Street, Troy. Funeral services will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Troy with Fr.

Richard Donovan officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers
