Joseph J. Strain Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Strain Sr., 71, of Troy, NY. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years Lynn, three sons, eight grandchildren, six siblings (two predeceased siblings), numerous cousins, and in-laws. Joseph worked diligently for Stewart’s Ice Cream Co. for 17 years, furthering his retail career an additional 25 years with Price Chopper/Market 32. Joseph served honorably as a Non-Commissioned Officer in The National Guard for 6 years. A simple man, Joe relished time with his family, the Yankees, and getaways spent with his wife Lynn in Lake George. He will be remembered and missed dearly by not only his family, but also the endless associates and friends he made over his lifetime in the surrounding community.

Funeral services will be private at the request of the family and held at Wm. Leahy Funeral Home.
