We sadly announced the passing of Joyce Connors Weber, beloved wife of the late Charles H Weber on April 22, 2024 at age of 84. Joyce was happily living at Hawthorne Ridge for the past six years with her dog Ginger Spice, where she was the game organizer and part of the welcoming committee. Joyce worked as a legal secretary for John J Teliska Jr, and the state legislature for 11 years. Joyce was also a lifelong volunteer giving her time to teaching bible study at Saint Michael’s in Troy where she was a lifelong communicant, president of Bell Top PTO, Troy high school alumni association and cheerleading coordinator for East Greenbush Pop Warner. She taught aerobics at Rensselaer County community Center for 20 years and adored the friends she made there. Once no longer able to teach she joined the red hat society and loved their outings and charitable events. She was lovingly, dedicated to her dogs over the years Muffet, Dolly, Holly,Shindi, Emmi and we expect she is happily reconnected with them at the rainbow bridge.
Joyce is survived by her children Charles S Weber, Marianne Weber Barrs(Kevin), grandchildren, William Barrs, Raeann Rafferty (Greg) Luke Barrs, Patrick Barrs, Charlie Weber and Caitlyn Weber. She was also lucky enough to have great grandchildren Nichole Rafferty and Emmitt Barrs. Also surviving her, brother Larry Connors and extended family Robert Beckmann, Gail Roberts(Paul), Mary Carroll(Jay), Cheryl Beckmann-Zaccari(Steve), and Barbara and Frank Splendido. She was predeceased by siblings Sandra, Beverly, Don, William, Edward, and Jack Connors and Lorraine Romano.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, April 27 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Saint Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Rd. Troy with mass and celebration of life immediately following. Burial will be private with family. Donations can be made to hospice or an animal charity of your choice.
