Margaret (Peggy) Kincaid 94 of Watervilet passed away peacefully in her home on Friday July 21st. Peggy was born in Troy NY on April 20th, 1929. She graduated from Troy high school and then began her career in the dry cleaning industry, Later working for Troy News she also enjoyed bartending. After retiring from Troy News, she didn’t stop there. Peggy enjoyed helping care for her beloved grandchildren.
Peggy lived a simple life. She enjoyed watching her mysteries, coffee, ice cream and trying her luck at the slot machine and of course the occasional brandy Alexander. Mostly, she loved to live for her family.
Peggy is survived by her beloved daughters Helena Lienteigne, Angel, DiNardo, Grandchildren Charles & Chad Sandercox, Steven Bowes, Taryn Lawrence and her precious great grandson Keaton McGivney.
She is pre-passed by her parents Helen (Fahl)Kincaid & Francis Kincaid, her siblings, Carolyn, Eileen, Frank, Jack & Bill
We would also like to give a special thank you to Maria and Cassandra who kept her company and helped care for in her final years.
Peggy's grandchildren would like to acknowledge Helena for being the greatest daughter & Grammy’s best friend. She had the best life mostly because of you!
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
A memorial service for Margaret will be held on Thursday evening at 7PM The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 Third St Troy with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5-7PM
