Mary Louise Kane

Mary Louise Kane, lovingly known as "Mary Lou," passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 9, 2025, in Troy, New York. Born on September 17, 1940, Mary Lou spent her life in South Troy, where she built a legacy of dedication and love.

Mary Lou devoted her career to working for the State of New York before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Her unwavering commitment to her work and community left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jay Wachtel and Brian Wachtel (Ellen), her grandchildren Zachary, Cassidy (Chris), and Allie, and nieces, nephew, who will forever cherish the love and memories they shared with her.

As a life long (pillar) parishioner of St. Joseph's Church.

A wake will be held at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m., followed by the internment at St. Joseph's Cemetery,  on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at St. Joseph's Church in Troy, New York.

In lieu of flowers donations to the  St, Joseph's Restoration Fund would be appreciated.

A special thank you to her nieces and cousin who cared for her during her recent illness.
