Michele M. Hotaling

Michele M Hotaling was a loving, selfless and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, fiance, aunt, sister, friend and "mother" to many. She was best known for telling jokes endlessly and being the life of party. She enjoyed pottery, reading Anne Rule books, watching crime shows and doing crossword puzzles. She was the true matriarch of her family. She passed away peacefully March 15, 2023 at home surrounded by family.  Born in Troy NY to Bertha Finley and Robert Pitcher. She was a graduate of Troy High class of 1974. She retired from Russell Sage College in 2009. Survivors include her long time fiance William Horan of 34 years. Her daughter Justine, granddaughter Shaeona, grandson Kahmi and great granddaughter Na'zazia. Her niece Andrea whom she raised. Also, her brothers Philip, William and Tony. Her sisters Phyllis (William), Julia(Alisa) and Mychelle. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew's. Predeceased by her sister Lisa and Brother Bobby of Troy.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 – 7 pm at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy. Prayer services will begin at 7 pm with Deacon Charles Officiating.
