Patricia A. (Gregware) Cook

Patricia A. Cook, 67, of Wynantskill, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Doris (Honsinger) Gregware and the beloved wife of the late David M. Cook.

Pat was a proud graduate of Troy High School.  She later went on to work at Troy High and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.  She made many fond memories and friends along the way while also having a profound impact on all of “her kids”.

Pattycakes’ family and friends were her world. She was a loving, caring person who found great joy in helping others in any way she could.

Patricia was a proud new grandmother to her grandchildren, CJ and Emma, who were welcomed into the world this year. She adored the time she had with them both and brought smiles to their faces with just the sound of her voice.

Survivors include her loving son, Chad (Dayna Hansen) Cook; nephew/son Bill (Meghan) Halloran; cherished grandchildren Christian Cook and Emma Halloran; her sister and best friend Lori (Joe) Harrington; and nephew Jared Gregware (Emily Wightman). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Michelle, Barbara, Donna, Maribeth, and Dorothy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was predeceased by her siblings Bernice (Bill) Halloran and Albert (Lore) Gregware Jr.

Pat’s family extends their heartfelt love and gratitude to her many close family members and friends for the care, love, and support shown to her.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
