Patricia Joyce (Saffaras) Kushner

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Joyce Kushner, formerly Patricia J. Valenti. She entered into eternal life on November 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on March 12, 1941 to the late Thomas and Terri Saffaras. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her daughter, Mary Jo Valenti and her sister Donna Saffaras Pat was a graduate of Troy High school and was a receptionist for Cigna Health Care for many years. Pat had a passion for collecting antiques ,she enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations with her grandchildren. Pat brought warmth and humor to all she touched .She will be deeply missed. Pat was raised in Troy NY but lived her later years in Florida with her beloved children, Anthony ( ToTo) (Madlyn) Valenti and Thomas ( Jennifer ) Valenti ,grandchildren Nicholas, Ashley, Thomas, Dominick, Gina, Anthony Jr., and Philip. She was also blessed with great grand children Rex, Giana, Amiyah, Isabella, Aalto, Lorenzo and several nieces and nephews. Pat is also survived by her sisters Barbara Saffaras and Terri Jean Saffaras.  The funeral mass for Pat will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at St Anthony of Padua Shrine Church State St Troy at 11 AM, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at The Bocketti Funeral home 336 Third St. Troy on Wednesday from 9AM until 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Troy.
