Peter J. Cassino

Peter J. Cassino, 79 of Troy passed into eternal rest on Friday morning October 21, 2022 at his daughter’s residence. Peter was born in Troy and was the son of the late Peter and Lillian Wager Cassino and loving husband of the late Linda Decker Cassino who passed away in 2015.  Peter had been employed for many years  by  the New York State Department of Transportation .He loved to watch westerns  and loved anything chocolate. .Peter had the best personality and was the most generous funny person who would do anything for anyone  .He was always there for everyone Peter is survived by his daughter Barbara Kane and son-in-law Paul , his grandchildren Paul Kane III and Theresa Kane. Peter is also survived by his siblings Ann Vogt, Joan Dames , Carolyn Hyatt ,Helen Marro  and Ed Cassino .He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Peter will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:15 AM at The Wm. Leahy Funeral home 336 Third St. Troy and at 10:45 AM  at  St. Joseph’s Church in Troy where a mass of Christian burial will celebrated.

 Relatives and friends are welcome to attend and may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 8:15 AM until 10:15 AM.

Entombment will follow the service at St. Mary’s Mausoleum Troy.
