Roselyn (Kehn) LaChance

Roselyn Kehn LaChance 90 of Troy passed into eternal rest on Saturday
November 26, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in
Troy she was the daughter of the late George and Helena Kehn Sr. and loving wife
of the late Elmer J .LaChance Jr. who passed away in 2012 after celebrating 60
years together .
She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Grammar School and CCHS both in Troy. Rose
and Elmer were the parents of 11 children. She always made time for everyone
else. A devout catholic she was always involved in school and sports in support of
her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rose worked as an
administrative assistant to the City of Troy Police Chiefs retiring in 2004 after 20
years of service. Rose always offered concern and care to all and practiced her
faith everyday of her life. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she treasured
viewng the many memories that scrolled across her family photo frame. She will
be missed by all who knew her especially her best friend and sidekick Bebe.
Rose was pre-deceased by her siblings George Jr., Charles ( Buddy ) and Mary
Murphy.
Loving mother of Ron (Nancy) LaChance, Bob (Kim) LaChance, Debbie (Dennis)
Brundage, Gary ( Janice) LaChance, Janice (Curt) Fredericks, Jim (Nadine)
LaChance, Steve (Colleen) LaChance, Rick (Donna) LaChance, Dave (Melissa)
LaChance, and Jason LaChance. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Sandra
Buda. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Beth and Michelle of Hospice for their care and
compassion for Rose.
The funeral service for Roselyn will be held on Saturday morning at 8:15 AM from
The Wm. Leahy Funeral home 336 Third St and at 9 :30 AM at Sacred Heart
Church in Troy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Friday
from 4-7PM.
