Thomas R. Murphy, 45, of Averill Park, entered into eternal life on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was a Corrections Officer with the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department, he was a member of the AOH and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, but most he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his loving mother MaryAlice Murphy Diehl, beloved son Jacoby Murphy, 3 sisters; Billie Jo Murphy, Ashley O'Brien and Samantha Diehl, beloved companion Sabrina Tedesco her children Tahlya and Jameson, 2 uncles William (Jan) and Joseph (Terry) Murphy. He was predeceased by his grandparants Joseph and Alice Murphy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 – 7 pm at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the Funeral home. Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
In Lieu of flowers donations in Tom's memory would be appreciated and can be made to; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
