Vincent Hoff Obituary

Vincent P. Hoff 86, of North Greenbush passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side on Thursday May 1, 2025 at the Stratton VA’s Community Living Center.  Vince was born in Albany and was the son of the late John and Nora Hoff.  He was the husband of the late Claire (Berghammer) Hoff.  He is survived by his children Linda Hoff of Guilderland and Vincent M. and Kelly Hoff of Wynantskill.  He was the very proud grandfather of Matthew and Olivia Hoff of Wynantskill, also numerous nieces and nephews and his favorite dog Loki.

Vince graduated from Albany High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  After his service he worked for McKesson & Robin, Maybelline, Ames Department Store and the Troy Record.  He was a sports fanatic and die-hard NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.  He became a fan of the game of lacrosse through his son and grandchildren and loved watching their games.  He always looked forward to family vacations with his grandkids to his favorite vacation spot, the beaches in Maine.  He was also known for taking numerous trips to Saratoga to play the slots and horses, they have already seen a drop in their profits since his passing.

His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all.  But especially his family, life long friend John Flasser and his crew at Eastwyck Circle.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at St. Agnes Ceremony at a later date.  To remember Vince in a special way, in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the ASPCA (ASPCA Donation Link).
