William M. Behan

William M. Behan 81, of Troy passed into eternal rest on Saturday July 22, 2023 at
his residence after a long illness surrounded by his family and his friends .Born in
Troy Bill was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Bocketti Behan . He graduated
from Troy High School , and accounting school in Odgensburg and Bill retired
from HVCC as a senior accountant . He served our country in the US Naval
Reserves .He was a life time member of The K of C, an advocate for the homeless
in the City of Troy .Bill enjoyed music ,and following his favorite teams the NY
Mets, the NY Nets and The NY Jets .Bill was
a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Church in Troy
Bill is survived by his siblings Robert, Anthony and Laurence Behan, Jean Condon
and June Behan and was pre- deceased by his brothers Joseph and Carl Behan
The funeral service for Bill will be held on Thursday morning at 11:15 AM at The
Bocketti Funeral home 336 Third St. Troy and at 12 noon St. Joseph’s Church in
Troy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends
are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9 AM until
11:15 AM Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy
Bill’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the Community
Hospice especially Penny, Joe, Paul and Nick and to Dr. Kevin Costello of Albany
Medical Center and Roxanne Ramlall of Blue Cross
