Dominick N. Mamone Sr.

Dominick Mamone, 94 of Troy, passed away on May 18, 2023 at The Van Rensselaer Manor with his loving family by his side. Prior Dominick lived at Franciscan Heights Senior Community for 16 years and enjoyed their company.

Dominick was the son of the late Salvatore and Antoinette Russomanno Mamone. Dominick is survived by the love of his life of 30 plus years Genevieve DeGiule (Ginny) his children Carmella Carnevale  (Anthony) Mike (Leah), Dominick (Mary Ellen), Antoinette Connors (Mike) and his sister-in-law Jane Mamone (Pasinella);. His grandchildren that he always spoke of and was proud of Anthony and Dominick Carnevale,  Paul Connors, Donovan and Josephina Mamone, Courtney and Samantha Mamone and his beloved friends Susan Butler and Maury Kohn.

He was predeceased by his wife Mary, brothers, Joseph and John Mamone and sister Mary Mamone.

Dominick was employed by the D&H railroad close to 40 years where his love of trains developed, he also enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, going to casinos and driving his big truck. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Franciscan Heights playing bocce and hanging out with his friend at the Defreetsville Stewart’s in the morning having coffee.

 The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and all the staff at the Van Rensselaer Manor for their love and care for Dominick and his family. The funeral service for Dominick will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 PM at The Bocketti Funeral Home 336 Third St Troy with Deacon Charles officiating

Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral Home Wednesday from 4-7 PM

Interment will be private.
